Disney's Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Pillsbury Cookie Recipe
To celebrate the 1994 Home Video release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pillsbury cooked up a special batch of cookies in honor of the 1937 Walt Disney film. I'm Wishing. I'm Wishing. For some of these cookies right now!
If you'd like to make these yourself, look no further than the special Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cookie booklet given away at the grocery store. I don't even remember getting this or saving it, but I'm glad I did.
Someone needs to help us in the kitchen.
Dopey, meet Doughboy!
Our assistants in the kitchen are promotional products themselves! The Dopey puppet was part of a mail-order set that was available during the 1987 theatrical re-release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The Pillsbury Doughboy vinyl figure was an in-store premium packaged with a Pillsbury product sometime in the 1990s.
It's time to get started. For this recipe, it is crucial that you only purchase Pillsbury brand products. I cannot stress this enough.
These cookies have 30 mg of Potassium. That means they are good for you, so be sure to eat more than one!
You'll need some equipment nearby before you start baking. The Drinking Straw listed is optional. It will be needed so you can discreetly sip away on that libation that helps you relax.
An unlisted Helpful Tip: Whistle While You Work!
Heigh-ho! Heigh-ho! It's off to work we go, completing all the detail work on a Grumpy cookie.
If you would like to make a really angry version of Grumpy, use Red Hots candies for his eyes!
Here's completed versions of Snow White and all Seven Dwarfs, and they look good enough to eat!
Creative bakers may enjoy adding a bit more detail work to their cookies, like cinnamon eye crust for Sleepy, or powder to represent Sneezy's sneeze.
It seems like I'm seeing more and more impressive culinary artistry these days. One of my favorite TV shows is Food Network Challenge. This series is a great showcase for some amazing "Imagineering" in cake, chocolate and sugar.
Now that the cookies are made, they've got to be stored somewhere.
Sorry, Grumpy. This cookie jar was sold through the Disney Catalog years ago, and is probably tough to find these days.
My problem with the Pilsbury cookie dough in those rolls is that I eat the raw dough as I go along!
ReplyDeleteWhat a combo! Dwarfs and the Doughboy! Never would of thunk it. But then again, the dwarfs have been paired up in all manner of strange mashup over the years. The cookie booklet is a super find, Dan. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteTokyoMagic!: Ha! I've always done that, too! That's an important part of the cookie-making experience.
ReplyDeleteThanks, A Snow White Sanctum! For some reason, I thought you might like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cookies.
Some of the most unusual Disney character mashups I have seen have been in the Disney Comics, and also on Disney's House of Mouse animated TV series (often a very clever and funny show---the "Pluto Saves the Day" episode starring Snow White was one of the best!).
